We made breakfast by ourselves in the kitchen on the top floor of this special very old house (I think 700 years old house). The house is a part of the old medieval centre, which is inside the old town walls right on the seaside. Maybe 15 metres from the shore. Parking is difficult, of course, this cannot be changed. It is not advised to park down in the town, it is too small for so many tourists and cars. I recommend Arze parking, if you like a small hike around 10 mins - pleasant experience.

We drove in to Piran on a Friday evening for a weekend getaway. The host gave excellent directions on where to meet him downtown, including sending an excellent short video clip showing exactly where to drive, turn by turn. He met us there right on time. He showed us to the room a short walk away pointing out some excellent shops and restaurants along the way. After we deposited our luggage, he walked us back to our car and asked us to follow him (he was on his Vespa) to an excellent parking garage (The room is in the historic downtown away from any vehicular traffic). To be sure our American sized SUV was parked safely in the European sized parking garage, he then skillfully parked our car for us. Later he sent me a text message with some excellent dining suggestions. The room itself was in a great location right in the heart of the town, minutes away from multiple great restaurants, etc. It was clean and tidy and comfortable. The decor was tasteful and comfortable with everything we needed, and the room was quiet and private. At checkout time, our host again met us and drove us to the parking garage, where he personally drove our car out of the garage for us. Finally, he gave a small parting gift as he left us. He was extremely kind and thoughtful throughout the entirety of our stay. An absolutely wonderful role model that all hosts should aspire to emulate. We love Piran and have visited twice prior to this trip, but this was the first time staying at Apartments Pia. I think it will not be our last.

A 700 year old building with charming, neatly renovated apartment provides complete facilities in a simple accommodation in outstanding location. A morning sun drenched double bed room + a very compact bunk bed room provides adequate sleeping arrangements. You’ll spend most your time in the vaulted loft roof living area and the little roof terrace if not having caffe or spritz in the adjacent foreshore restaurants.

The apartment is a huge studio located on the top floor which is actually the attic. It was a little bit tricky to get there with luggage but the wonderful host helped us up to the apartment.
