The esthetics and rooms were wonderful. We enjoyed the location and Pam our housekeeper was wonderful. Del at the Front desk was welcoming and always did his best to answer any of our questions. Hopefully he is a trainer for the rest of the staff. The restraraunt is nice however they are a little over priced for what you get.
The property was clean and it was nice to see the grounds keepers picking up the bird poo. I loved that the patio areas were kept clean as well.
Overall we loved the community vibe and easy access to enjoy the sounds of the ocean.

Kapaa is often overlooked for the northshore and Poipu. It is actually the pulse of the island and you will run into more locals here. Restaurants are conveniently located and a wide variety at decent prices.

Kapaa is a great central location.
Kapaa is a great central location. The traffic is bad, but most people drive with the Aloha spirit and let you merge in front of them. I would stay there again but definitely avoid booking anything through Booking.com! Finding a reasonably-priced place to eat is a real challenge, not only in Kapaa but everywhere on the island. I spent almost $100 for two of us to eat at a Mexican restaurant.

We chose Kapaa because of it's proximity to the beach and to the Hindu Monastery which we visited multiple times. Turned out to be a great choice because it also seemed quieter compared to the beach crowds we saw in Poipu or Hanalei/Princeville. There's a grocery in walking distance to the hotel, small stores as well in a strip mall, great restaurants (the top rated Mexican restos are in Kapaa) all at fairly reasonable prices compared to what we saw in other parts of the island.
The ISO is a hidden gem! It’s on the beach in a great location where you can see beautiful sunrises, sit and listen to the waves and walk along the beach. They have complimentary bikes which are fun to ride from the hotel along a path up the coast. The hotel is located in a wonderful part of Kauai and is walking distance to some shops and restaurants. I did the free morning yoga which was wonderful. There’s a restaurant on site which is open for dinner, but we didn’t eat there due to lack of vegetarian options.
Very accommodating hosts, they provided us with all the essentials- coffee, some fruit including fresh cut pineapple, cookies and lots of great advice on where to go & what to see. Liked location, very quiet, but yet very centrally located to the town of Kapaa. The koi pond & garden area is absolutely breathtaking & so relaxing. Wish we could have stayed longer. We hope to come back to Kauai & we know where we’re staying!
It is a very nice property with all the basic things that you would need during your stay. The property looks over the pool and the ocean. It is very quiet during the night. You can enjoy a glass on the balcony. It is very close to Coconut Marketplace where you can find different shops and restaurants. You would need a car for Kapaa town centre. The best restaurant in the area is Lava Lava Beach Club.
The place even though is a little bit outdated it's amazing. Right in front of the beach, one hot tub a pool. The receptionist welcomed us with some collars, a box of chocolates and also told us about everything that they had to offer. I was actually quiet surprised by all the amenities they had. It exceeded my expectations. I think it's worth the value considering how expensive kauai already is!
Great location! We wanted to be in the Kapaa area so it was a good choice. The shopping center next door was so convenient. We enjoyed the deli at Coconut Marketplace. The food was so good and it was so close to Plantation Hale Suites we just walked over. Great staff who were so friendly and helpful. Overall, good experience. We will probably stay there again the next time we're in Kauai.
I liked the large room with high ceilings, the king bed, the little lanai and the ocean view. The service was very friendly with lots of Aloha. I loved the great price we got booking on Priceline. I also loved the convenience of the open parking lot, with parking included with our stay, along with the Longs Drugs right next door and the convenience of the location in Kapaa.
Excellent location right on the beachfront. Lovely well kept tropical gardens in the hotel grounds. Plenty of parking. The room was spacious and clean. Hotel was right opposite a shopping village for dining options and a short walk to other shopping options. Fabulous restaurant, delicious food, friendly waiter.
The condo had great facilities and customer service was extremely responsive to our questions. We found the kitchen and laundry well equipped and appreciated the extra beach equipment. The check in and out process was quick and easy. We would recommend others in Kauai to stay here.
Perfect location to explore Kauai. Very relaxing and private place to stay. This was our second time here, and it was if anything even better than before. The pool was always clean, the on-site spa and restaurant were awesome. We will be back.
Cosiest room on our entire stay on the vacation. We had a full garden to ourselves which lit up at night and a pond with large fishes. This was the best and most genuine room on our entire stay in Hawaii.
We really liked the location of the hotel, since it is right on the beach. Also, next to the hotel (2 min walking distance) there are several restaurants, shops and even a market, which was really helpful
The hotel is a great value and location. We borrowed the bikes from the lobby 2 days in a row and it was so wonderful to explore kapaa in a whole new way. The bikes made our trip exponentially more fun!
We've stayed in multiple places in Kapaa and found the Coral Reef to be the best of the lot. Price was great. Staff was easy to work with. Room was above expectations.
Lovely, and very well equipped cottage so you can prepare your own meals etc. Was also great to have bikes and kayaks, and BBQs to use. Close to airport and Kapaa town.
Great location
Room and beds very comfortable.
Really cute hotel with beach view, good games to play, and a nice restaurant.
It was perfect for our 4 nights in Kauaii
Excellent location. We were able to visit all parts of the island by using this hotel as our base. We visited several beaches on the island & this was one of the best.
View from room was good. Hotel grounds were nice. Complimentary coffee in the mornings in the lobby. Breakfast was available but not included in the room price.
